It is September already!
The Strawberry Sampler Book
I know that it is a sign of age but really the years are flying by and I have so much to do! I know I am lucky and do not know the word “bored” but is there a happy medium? I was just thinking of another subject for the next stitched book and realised there is less than a month before I am due to hand in the new version of my Antique Sampler Book so I must not attempt to start that today. Members will receive issue 97 of Itch to Stitch next week (we are packing envelopes on Monday and Tuesday) and you will be able to complete your versions in time for the next issue ! Ho Hum…….
The Blackwork Back Cover
I am not showing you all the pages – must keep you in suspense a little longer. As you can see from the image above, I have added lengths of red satin ribbon when I added the lining – it means that it can be closed with a pretty bow. I have been thrilled with the feedback on this project – I know that loads of you are stitching it as I write and many are waiting for the next episode.
Real Ivory Keepsakes
Before I hear cries on anguish from you all, I need to tell you that these very special strawberry keepsakes are made from recycled piano keys and it was much too late for the elephant. Each one has been etched and drilled to create an exclusive embellishment for your Strawberry Sampler Book. It could be stitched on the book or added to hang on a tiny twisted cord.
