Itch to Stitch 94 is here and we are stuffing your envelopes!
My Spot Motif Sampler
Over the Christmas break, I had a major sort out here at the Studio at Pinks Barn, and it was amazing the things I found lurking in corners. This sampler or rather the original was a cushion featured in a book I did for the BBC many moons ago. I decided it needed to be rethought and stitched and this was the result. It is amazing how my tastes have changed over the past thirty years. This is my new version of the Spot Motif Sampler with a cut work section and additional flower motifs added for effect. It is one of the designs in Issue 94 of Itch to Stitch our Members magazine. As I write this, my colleagues are stuffing envelopes with magazines, weekend dates and info about the Spring Knitting and Stitching Show – we will be posting on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Working on my light box
In addition to the sampler illustrated above, I have added a feature about designing your own charts whether with or without a computer. As a result of this, I am going to complete a series called Linen Learners – more about this is Issue 95…..
