Our hand made books and more
The Little Linen Books
This is where it all began – I met talented Book Maker, Kate Bowles when she appeared on our stand at the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate almost two years ago. The rest they say is history – It was like minds crashing in to each other. Kate has an art background, but had to do a different sort of job when she graduated but has come back to her hand made projects at last! Many of you will be familiar with the Little Linen Book pictured above – Kate has made hundreds of these lovely books for us. If you click on the link you can see more details of this unique stitchers treat! There are pictures of the inside of the book with the little charts and others scraps.
Kate Bowles in what she describes as her cupboard
Bill and I invited ourselves to visit her last week when travelling back from our weeks holiday in Scotland and we had tea and lemon drizzle cake before we scuttled up to her workroom leaving Bill playing the piano downstairs. The problem is that when we get together we have another six ideas so what this space.

Catherine Archer Needlebook and Gift Card
Many of you will have received my first e-newsletter sent before I went on holiday – I thought the Catherine Archer Needlebook was worthy of this special treatment. You may know some of the history of this Bristol Sampler but if you don’t there is lots of information about it when you click on the link above. I am absolutely thrilled with these tiny needlebooks and hope you enjoy them as much as I am. Kate is working as fast as she can to keep me stocked up and also thinking about our next project!
I think it is going to be the Sampler Workbook….. We are still thinking…..
Happy stitching for now – I need to go back to work!
